Overview

The Premier Inn at Dublin airport is a great alternative to Dublin city hotels if you're on a budget. It's actually a short bus ride from the airport, but there is an accessible bus which stops right outside the hotel front door. The hotel is fully accessible in a wheelchair, the front door is a bit tricky from a seated position and from what I could see the disabled access door was at the rear of the hotel? There are lifts to all floors, the accessible rooms are spacious and more than adequate if you can get out of your chair.

Transport & Parking

3.5

The accessible bus from the airport stops outside the front door. Disabled parking was at the rear of the hotel. The electric push button entrance is at the rear of the hotel. It's a 200 yd walk to the main bus stop where you can get numerous buses into Dublin city. All of the Dublin buses we used had access ramps and the drivers were very accommodating.

Access

4

As mentioned access into the hotel was at the rear near the disabled parking. You can enter through the front door if you are able to open a single door or have somebody with you to hold the door. The reception area had a low counter and plenty of space to move around. There are lifts to all floors, access was fine on the corridors and the accessible room had everything we needed. Low-level furniture, tea making facilities and an adapted bathroom made it a comfortable room.

Toilets

4.5

We didn't try the public loo, the loo and bathroom in the bedroom were absolutely fine.

Staff

4.5

Very attentive and friendly without being overpowering. True Irish charm and humour all added to the positive experience.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Overall, we wouldn't hesitate to return to this hotel. It's ideal for the airport and not too far from the city centre. You can eat in the hotel or there are numerous fast food outlets and restaurants less than 100 yds away.
