Inn the zone
As this was the first hotel that I stayed in since the pandemic, I was a bit anxious about the Covid risk, however, allowing for some risk, I did feel quite safe in the family room itself. It was clean, spacious and comfortable and the staff didn't enter to clean as part of the Covid safety measures. As there are no restrictions now in England, masks were optional for both visitors and staff and this was mixed. People are also mixing more now indoors but on the whole, people were happy to adapt to my personal boundaries and the staff were incredibly friendly, welcoming and helpful, opening fire doors for me and calling and keeping the lift door open for me. I hadn't booked a disabled room (I booked a family room) so I can't comment on the disabled room but for a non-adapted room, there was enough room for me and my powerchair. The bathroom had a bath and there was enough room for me to manoeuvre with the help of a P.A. but there wasn't enough room for my wheelchair. The bed was really comfy for me (I need a specialised bed at home) and I had a great night's sleep.
