Overview

Open just three years ago about 2021, we found this to be a very pleasant hotel, still well maintained, and very handy for the local shopping area, and for visiting the Hawthorns West Bromwich football ground. It is close enough from the M5, and easy to find, (photo 1) with disabled bays near to hotels entrance (photo 2, and just a slight slope to enter main pull and push door (photo 3) Very clean and tidy inside, mainly self booking in counters (photo 4) DO NOT FORGET TO REGISTER THE CAR. but a reception desk is available if you prefer help (photo 5). Entering the bar there are pleasant places to sit (photo 6) quite close to the bar (photo 7) and during the winter months a warming fire awaits you (photo 8). It has a nice restaurant as well, very clean and tidy (photo 9) with spaces for wheelchair, and seating for larger groups (photo 10) with a breakfast counter very handy (photo 11) Close to reception you will find toilets and a disabled door nice and handy (photo 12) Which has a reasonable toilet with grab rails and pull cords (photo 13) while both men’s and ladies toilets are very clean but with just basic facilities (photo 14 and 15) If you are staying here overnight, then just past reception desk you will see the passage leading to ground floor rooms and lift (photo 16, which has a lift wide enough for almost all chair taking you up the four floors of the hotel (photo 17) taking you up to accessible rooms on the first floor. Pleasant enough room with dark furniture with usual wardrobe and table and chairs (photo 18) but it is quite roomy, with a large very comfortable bed (photo 19) There is a choice of either a wet room (photo 20) which is very spacious with nice modern facilities, or a low bath, which is just as nice a room. All in all, this is an ideal compact and pleasant hotel, ideal as a base after a long motorway journey, or if you want to visit Birmingham city centre, as the Metro railway station is just a hundred yards away, and far easier taking the tram and leaving your car here, and then the tram will take you into the heart of the town. We would recommend this hotel to you as it has all that a disabled traveller will want

Transport & Parking

Easy to arrive here, just a few minutes away from the M5, with quite a few disabled bays available close to the entrance into hotel (photo1) with a slow sloping ramp to get your inside (photo 2) with no steps to worry about.

Access

4

Good easy approach into hotel, just a slight slope at main entrance, but all on the level inside, with push pull door handles though. If you are staying overnight, there is a lift available, and corridors towards bedrooms are wide enough.

Toilets

4.5

Nice pleasantly decorated accessible rooms available, plenty of room to move chair around the room, and a choice of walk-in showers, or a very low bath if you can manage that. The bed is large and comfortable, with usual hotel facilities.

Staff

All very pleasant and helpful, from reception to waitresses in the large attractive and nice restaurant easily reached from bedrooms and on the level, with just a minor pull and push door by reception desk to get into bar area.
