The Hotel is on the Esplanade over looking the sea and ferry terminal there are a number of steps from the pavement to the ground floor reception area. There is only one lift for the hotel this covers all the floors including the basement. This is what they use as disability access as we were told when booking. please see disability access for more information
Disabled Access In and Around
0We had been advised on the phone that there was a lift available from the basement area to all floors. The basement area is basically the goods inward area of the hotel including bar stock. The area is not well lit and not very welcoming by any means. The lift is very small it says 6 people but we could not get a standard manual wheelchair to go through the lift door unless it was fooled down. You also had to take the feet rest of to make it fit in as well.
Parking & Transport
Bad
There is no parking at the hotel there is a car par across the road that has Blue badge spaces however there is restrictions in place 3 hour time limit. There is a bus stop across the road used by local buses, This is also a one way street

Staff
Good
The staff are great and do what they can to help and assist people in the hotel

Would not recommend this hotel to anyone with a physical disability
