    Rodley Nature Reserve

    About

Situated just four miles from the centre of Leeds this wetland nature reserve is a peaceful haven for both people and wildlife. Bordered by the River Aire, there are four main wetland areas overlooked by wheelchair friendly hides. Away from the wetlands there is a series of dragonfly ponds, two wildflower meadows, a large crop field growing bird-friendly seed crops and the Manager's Garden where a hide with wheelchair access provides close views of birds on the feeders. In December 2018 the Reserve was presented with an exclusive Good Access Award by the Yorkshire-based charity Open Country for the work that had been done to make the Reserve so accessible to wheelchair users and other visitors with a disability. Entry is free and the Reserve is open to the public on Wednesdays, Saturdays and Sundays and most Bank Holidays throughout the year.
