Roseland Holiday Park and the Jam Jar Coffee Shop

Unfortunately, this is the only campsite on the Isle of Bute, and the lack of competition might explain why it is so bad. They can't help the fact that the site is built into a hill but the paths and roads around the site are bad enough for vehicles, never mind wheelchairs. I struggled even in my mountain trike.

This is a new cafe beside Roseland Caravan Park on Canada Hill in Rothesay. It is fully accessible with very good toilet facilities. It's easy to get around inside the cafe and the staff were very friendly and helpful. The views are stunning across Rothesay Bay and the chocolate cake is delicious! Table service from attentive staff. The best way to arrive is by car and there is good level parking.
