Overall Rating
Excellent
We stayed in one of their accessible lodges (all lodges are accessible, some with more equipment than others) which had an accessible bathroom and ramp and a few steps to the lodge. This was an amazing experience of being in the forest. The lodge we stayed in had 3 bedrooms (1 super king double, 1 twin and 1 with 2 x bunk beds) and 2 bathrooms (one is fully accessible). It had a very large open plan lounge/diner/kitchen with a garden to the rear. Towels, bedding, and basic kitchen products such as washing up liquid, washing powder, dishwasher tablets are supplied in a small quantity. Very warm with electric heaters and other lodges had underfloor heating. Access was via a ramp or few steps both with handrails. We were able to hire a tramper scooter to go around the various walks in the foresty centre and the map highlights which ones are accessible, some have a path and others are accessible on tracks. There is a cafe on site and various activities throughout the year. Some of the lodges are fully equipped with hoists etc., so I recommend takng a look at the website. The lodges can be booked via Sykes and you can cancel up to the day of arrival if needs be. Definitely recommend.

We wanted to hire a tramper for a walk around the site (£2 for 2 hours) and they weren't busy so said we could keep for longer.
