This eco-friendly hostel offers purpose-built en suite accommodation next door to the Conkers visitor centre, ideal for cheap family breaks, activity breaks and school trips. The building has been designed to reduce the effect of your stay on the environment, making it a great option for eco holidays. Nearby attractions include the Snibston Discovery Park, Twycross Zoo, the Museum of Brewing at Burton, and birds of prey, archery and laser clay shooting at Rosliston Forestry Centre.

Disabled Access Information Provided by YHA National Forest

Disabled Access at YHA National Forest

From the car park there is step-free access into the hostel. A vibrating pillow alarm is available from reception on arrival. Our public facilities, such as lounge, dining room etc. are all on the ground floor and have step-free access; however, please be aware that most doors need to be opened manually. Also on the ground floor we have three accessible bedrooms. Each room has an accessible en-suite bathroom; includes grab rails, lowered sink with lever tap and roll in shower with fold down shower chair. Transfer onto the toilet is right or left-handed depending on the room.

Accessible parking at YHA National Forest

We have plenty of parking and there are three marked blue badge bays approximately 20 metres from the main entrance. The car park is level and the floor surface is tarmac. From the tarmac there is level access onto a paved path which leads to the entrance.

Toilets features at YHA National Forest

We have a unisex accessible WC on the ground floor, next to the reception desk. The door width is 800mm. The WC is fitted with grab rails, lowered basin with lever taps and an emergency cord. Transfer onto the toilet is right-handed.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
