Overview

Great hotel in the centre of town close to shopping. We booked an accessible room and were impressed with the size of the room as there was plenty of space to get around. The hotel is large, so a power chair or electric wheelchair is a must to get around here as the distances from check in to the room were vast as it seems that the accessible rooms were the furthest away.

Transport & Parking

The hotel used the App what three words to let you know the entrance of the car park courtyard as it is tight and not well signposted, the small sign at the entrance said for hotel, guests only. The courtyard carpark has enough space for 20 to 30 cars and Luckily, there was one disabled space which was vacant

Access

There is access to the hotel from the car park and there are signs inside directing you to reception. Check-in was easy and we chose a room on the third floor, which is the same as the spa.

Toilets

I did not use the Bathrooms outside of my room, but Facilities were available.

Staff

The staff are very nice and polite and could not do enough to help.

The bed in the room was a comfortable king size however, it was not lowered so transferring from a wheelchair was extremely difficult, having come across this issue before I always travel now with a transfer board so I’ve got a chance of getting in them. The room had quite large thresholds, which threw me about as my chair powered over them to get in the room and in and out of the bathroom. The bathroom was spacious. However, the sink was small and although usable there was nowhere to put any of my toiletries.
