Supportive staff and fab venue
On arriving to the Savoy Theatre for a production of Mean Girls, the staff were very welcoming. I am a walking stick user and had booked a front row seat for the show. The staff double checked if I needed any assistance in getting to my seat - this happened with each member of staff I cam into contact with which I found veery reassuring but I know this could be overwhelming for some. The staff member conducting bag searches let me know it would be 3 flights of stairs to my seat which was helpful to know.
I would have found it useful to have higher lighting levels when going downstairs as I felt it became darker when moving towards the auditorium. Once seated, I had a good amount of leg room and was looking slightly up at the stage (seat BB15). I had a fab view of the show and really enjoyed myself.
I did find some of the sound effects a bit jarring - especially with the bus (hopefully not a spoiler). This part was the loudest of the show and even though I knew it was going to happen, I still jumped. I would have found it useful to have a quick warning about this before sitting. Most of the sound effects and music were perfectly fine - I am a huge theatre enthusiast so am used to the levels of noise. This one really surprised me!
On the whole, I had an amazing time and the front of house staff truly made this a wonderful experience.
