Venue DescriptionThe Scottish Storytelling Centre is a vibrant arts venue located on Edinburgh's Royal Mile. We have live storytelling, theatre, music, exhibitions, family events and workshops happening all year round. Visit us to discover Scotland’s rich story heritage, find our dragon’s nest, enjoy our storywall or simply relax in our venue and soak in the atmosphere.
Ground level access (through John Knox / Bookshop entrance), wide door but not push-pad. Standard lifts to all levels including Storytelling Café, Netherbow Theatre and Workshop spaces. Accessible bathrooms. Hearing Loop in Café, Reception and Theatre.

The Storytelling Centre Programme is made up of one off events as opposed to regular programming, therefore Accessible Performances are dependent on that. Please Check the Website for Details.

Ensure appropriate distancing measures are implemented for theatre performances by introducing allocated seating. Ensure that enhanced cleaning measures are regularly taking place including frequent touch points, toilet facilities and the Netherbow Theatre on a regular basis throughout the day. Ensure spaces are well ventilated including 100% fresh air supply in the Netherbow Theatre. Ensure the provision of hand sanitizer and handwashing stations within the building for staff and customers. Ensure all staff wear face coverings or face shields (unless exempt) and to maintain appropriate distance from customers and colleagues. Supply disposable face masks for customers if required.
