Take a fascinating journey from the coast to the ocean’s depths through 11 themed zones including our ocean tunnel where you can soak up the amazing view from the sea bed, then find out how it feels to touch a starfish and other creatures living in our interactive touch pool experience. You can also visit the lair of the Japanese Spider Crabs, these fantastic creatures of the deep measure an unbelievable 3 meters claw to claw!

Short but sweet trip

Didn't take too long to complete, but was very good if you took your time. Spoilt a little by very young children - a large portion of the space is a soft play zone for the kids for some reason. Lovely "glass tube" type exhibit where you can watch sea turtles, sharks, rays and fish float by. Plenty of workers around who were friendly. Flat all through, but could be a bit tight at times. I use a rollator to walk and had to fold it up a few times due to prams coming through. Could be a bit tricky if you're a wheelchair user. If you wish to borrow a wheelchair, you have to go into thr Trafford Centre for it. I would take advantage of the Autism friendly sessions if you have sensory issues as there was loud music, and low lighting that was difficult to see in. There's a 5 mins presentation on sea turtles right at the beginning that was also quite loud and cramped. Just 1 accessible loo half way through. Unortunately it was occupied, but j managed the maybe 4 steps up to the normal loos. Nice big loos, stalls quite spacious and a baby changing_large stall loo available.

Disabled Access at SEA LIFE Manchester

At the aquarium, we have disabled access throughout the centre. Main entrance doors are not automatic, but are double doors to allow for easy wheelchair access. All main areas of the aquarium are on one level, with a few slopes. Unfortunately there is no wheelchair access available for our VIP feeding experience as this takes place at the top of our ocean tank which is accessible only via a stairwell.

The centre is located in the intu Trafford Centre, which has several free car parks, all with disabled parking bays. The closest car park to us is Barton Square, which is roughly less than a 10 minute walk to our attraction.

We have a disabled toilet located within the main area of the attraction, inside our soft play area which is roughly halfway round the attraction.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
