Overview
When you need a wheelchair you have not many opportunities for such experiences. I am so happy that Marie and Brian make this possible. Seeing the coast of Bressay from the sea is so impressive. These high rocks, sailing in a cave, Giant's Leg were so amazing. We saw a lot of seabirds, puffins, kittiwakes and especially gannets, diving into the water. Marie and Brian were so kind and extremly helpful to get me on and off the boat and during the trip they were very attentive. I used a small power wheelchair. The sea was quite calm. After I made the trip, I would recommend a manual wheelchair because it is sauer, especially when the sea is more rouge. In total I can highly recommend the tour, it's worth every penny. Many thanks to Marie and Brian.
Transport & Parking
There is a car park with places for disabled parking on the pier where the tour starts. Unfortunately they are not usable, when a cruise ship is there andthe passengers arrive with tender boats
Access
The boat has a Plattform on its backsite with a fold-out ramp wich has a little step on one side because the pier is diagonally. It is not usable for big power wheelchairs.
Toilets
The toilet on the boat is not wheelchair accessible. There is an information about this on the website of seabirds and seals.
Staff
The staff is so kind and helpful and does everything to make you feel good and safe.
