A well set out museum with great access and other features for disabled people.
Disabled Access In and Around
Excellent
Good circulation space around the museum. One of our party has a vision impairment and found the reduced lighting of the Titanic Exhibition a challenge but used the large print descriptions to aid understanding of the exhibits.
Parking & Transport
Excellent
Southampton is well serviced with car parks. Local transport is largely accessible.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
Accessible toilets on the ground floor. Lift to all exhibits.
Staff
Excellent
We joined a guided tour. Well worth it, the guide was very knowledgable.
Additional Information
The Titanic exhibition is tastefully curated and very moving. Make sure to take in the last room that records all the people from Southampton lost to the sea.
