Bad

It is a long walk or wheel uphill from either side to get to Squires Gate Station and then you are met with a long stairway down to the platform and no step-free alternative. I estimate there are about 40 steps. If you do not care about actually taking the train, you can enjoy the posters telling you about the history of the station, but I doubt that is what most people come to a train station for. The station has one platform with a little shelter that has a ticket machine and info screen but no seating. There is some seating on the platform, a bench with a backrest and no armrests. (There might be more benches further along, but I could only look from the top of the stairs.) The steps have contrast markings and there are tactile markings at the top. There are railings to either side of the stairs.
