St Mark's Church

This Talk was part of his tour and arranged by Toppings Book Shop in st Andrews. The talk was held in st Marks church. Access to the church was very good they have a special entrance for wheelchair users and a member of the bookshop staff opened this for us as my daughter told them we had arrived. You go up a ramp and into a hallway then through a door into the church . There is space at the end of some of the pews where a wheelchair user can sit . The lady who opened the door for us, asked a couple of people to move from this space so I could put my wheelchair there and both my husband and daughter could sit with me,I had an excellent view of the stage. The talk was excellent Ian told us how he gets his ideas for the rebus books, funny quotes and stories. After the talk you were free to ask questions before getting your book personalised by Ian. It was so nice to be treated as a normal person despite being in a wheelchair . Often people ignore you and only speak to whoever is with you. But I had a good chat to Ian and he was most generous with his time, I would certainly go to another one of his talks .
