St. Michael's Parish Church

Overall Rating

This a striking church on the outside, and beautiful inside. The stained glass windows are stunning and the church is very calming.

Disabled Access In and Around

The main entrance has steps and two side by side double doors, but there is a clearly signed wheelchair accessible entrance just to the side of the church via an opened gate. There are some cobbles to cross, but they are very flat. Once inside, the church is spacious, quiet and calm. The lighting is dim, but not too dark.

Parking & Transport

Linlithgow always feels gridlocked with traffic when I visit. The narrow main street is busy, and the car parks are often full. There are regular buses through the town though, and there is accessible parking near the church. I'd recommend parking as near to the church as you can as the church is up fairly steep, although not unmanageable, hill.

Accessible Toilets

Did not notice any toilets while in the church (there may be some), but there are toilets in the Palace (not the best however) and in the various nearby buildings of the town centre.

Staff

A very friendly lady opened the door for me entering the church and chatted away to me about the building.

Additional Information

It's a lovely church, this was my first time visiting in over a decade since a family wedding here!
