Overview

Coffee shop that’s wheelchair access is a lot to be desired. There’s a ramp to get into the cafe, however inside space is very limited not much manoeuvrability space. Shelves are difficult to reach from wheelchair height. You couldn’t really read or see what items they had on offer. Luckily I had browsed the menu online before going in so I knew exactly what I wanted. Paying for the items was also rather difficult due to the counter being rather high and it was also full of different items for sale, some of which were in racks attached to the front making it difficult to get the wheelchair close into the counter. The tables were okay for sitting at to eat but again there was not much space to move around anyone in a power chair would have great difficulty. They could do with spending a couple of bucks on accessibility, whilst the minimum of a ramp is there upon entrance it feels like to me many other basics have been overlooked. .

Transport & Parking

City centre of Glasgow no parking available close by, it is a short wheel from Glasgow Central train station. It is quite an uphill push and the pavements aren’t great but it is manageable.

Access

2

As previously mentioned access is pretty poor despite having the ramp outside it’s very small and difficult to manoeuvre around. The items are on high shelves that are difficult to read/reach from wheelchair height. The counter to pay is also very high up and with racks on the edge with more items for sale it’s very difficult to get the wheelchair close to hand over change/use the card machine. Tables were okay to sit at but not much room for moving around as previously stated.

Didn’t visit or see any so I can’t comment unfortunately.

Staff

I found the staff not to be very helpful they kept telling me to look on the shelf when I told them which items I wanted to purchase. They didn’t quite grasp I couldn’t see or reach any of the items on the shelves or in the fridges. But once I reiterated to them at least five times they were happy yo help.
