Stena Line - Liverpool

We travelled with a car with StenaLine from Liverpool to Belfast returning a week later. Both were daytime crossings. We felt well looked after throughout. On booking I ticked the box to say I used a walking aid and at check in I was asked if I needed to be parked by the lifts ( I did) and if I needed wheelchair assistance ( I didn’t, but good to know it’s an option). I was given a card to hang on my rear view mirror to indicate my disabled status. We were directed to a specific queue to park to await boarding. This was the first queue to board and we were placed very close to the lifts. On the outward journey I had booked a deluxe cabin which had a double bed and two comfy chairs. It also had a large window and access to the outside walkway at the back of the boat. There was plenty of space to get about, but there was a step up to the bathroom. On the journey we visited the restaurant and had a good wander around the ferry. All areas were accessible and there were accessible toilets on each level. On the way back, the system was the same, but this time we had booked an accessible cabin. This had two single beds and one chair/ desk. It was very roomy. The bathroom had level access and was step free. The shower had a seat fixed to the wall. There were cords to pull for assistance by both beds and in the bathroom. The only downside was there was no window. I was very impressed with all the staff and their helpfulness.
