Great bungalows, wonderful owners and a relaxing break away.
This review is especially helpful for those who have or use the following: Assistance Dog, Powerchair
The bungalows are wheelchair accessible with wide corridors, a great kitchen and bedrooms. It sleeps 6 very comfortably. I am a wheelchair user and its the best accommodation I have ever stayed in. The grounds are great for my assistance dog who loves playing with Rod and Peggy's dogs. Peggy and Rod are great and will go out of their way to provide equipment and offer any other signposting to services if they can not directly provide. One of the bungalows has a ceiling tract hoist and they all have rise and recline chairs (I think). As a family we have stayed in lots of accommodation and this in my opinion is the best. Its a great base for loads of places.
Transport & Parking
Great parking. I have never used the public transport, but highly recommend the local park and ride into York. One thing that might be an issue if your a wheelchair user on your own is the farm gate, but I am sure that Rod would help if you struggled opening and closing it. They have always been great with me if I ever needed help.
The bungalows are fully wheelchair accessible.
The toilet totally meets my needs. There are commodes available that are modern and very clean.
Amazing. I forgot to mention on the initial review you get milk and lovely cake.

I really recommend here. I am able to stay on my own for a few days of rest and relaxation.
