Venue Description

In the heart of Pollok Country Park, this award-winning building houses a unique collection in a beautiful woodland setting. The collection is one of the greatest ever created by one person, comprising over 8000 objects. The Burrell Collection has undergone a unique transformation and the museum has now re-opened.

Toilets

9 accessible toilets 2 changing places A standard accessible toilet with vertical rails at the side of the toilet and basin, emergency call cord, PIR motion sensor lighting, lever taps, and low-level hand dryer. The width of the accessible toilet door is 90cm. The internal dimensions of the toilet are 167cm x250cm.

Staff

Disability awareness is embedded within our training programme for employees. Team members who work directly with the public and Learning and Gallery Assistants also receive additional training, such as autism and Down’s Syndrome awareness, some are certificated Dementia Friends, and most have received basic deaf awareness training.
