The Chalet, Holidays for All is a unique self catering holiday home set in the East Lothian countryside, on West Meikle Pinkerton farm. Guests are encouraged to come and visit and farm as there are large concreted areas in the sheds where the animals can be viewed. At lambing time there are usually always some pet lambs that need bottle fed! Never a dull moment!

most accessible cottage I’ve visited yet!

Just arrived at The Chalet and am blown away by the layout and speculation view overlooking the sea. There is an overhead hoist if needed, a wet room and shower char and large wheelchair accessible room and 2 other large rooms. The kitchen / donning/ living room area is all open plan and has the most amazing view. We were also welcomed by freshly cooked scones, eggs , milk, tea and coffee. We are really thrilled with the find of the cottage!

Lovely chalet great facilities

Set on a large mixed Farm with great views over the Firth of Forth to Bass Rock and Dunbar. A spacious chalet nicely decorated with good disabled facilities including hoist tracking and closomat toilet The owners are very friendly and helpful Nearby Dunbar is a pretty harbour Town We had a great holiday with our family

Respite stay

We took a young lady who uses a wheelchair for respite and stayed at the chalet it was fantastic and equipped for her needs. It was a good base to visit Edinburgh and the icing on the cake was seeing the baby lambs. Kaye,James and family were superb hosts and nothing was a problem thank you so much hope to see you again.

Disabled Access at The Chalet

Three spacious bedrooms with the option of single or double rooms. The master bedroom has electric lifting beds and a Prism ceiling track hoist (guests must provide their own slings) that runs into the en-suite wetroom with Clos-o-mat toilet. Adapted kitchen with lowered oven and microwave, rollaway units under the hob and sink. Large parking area with ramp leading to the decking.

Large concrete parking with space for three vehicles. This leads to a ramp taking guests up to the chalet.

Large wet room with Clos-o-mat toilet and Prism ceiling track hoist system. Grab rails and panic alarm are fitted here.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
