About

The Cockpit is a flexible, black box theatre space in West London, seating up to 200 people. We host a variety of theatre, music, dance, touring shows, children's show, and show cases, along with our own productions and regular events. We have a cosy foyer bar and three rehearsal studios.

Disabled Access at The Cockpit

There is level access to the foyer, bar and foyer toilets. There are six steps down from the foyer to the auditorium. Access to the auditorium is possible for wheelchair users via the car park and rear entrance. Please contact us to let us know you are coming - 0207 258 2925 / reception@thecockpit.org.uk - and try and arrive a bit early so that we can make sure you are comfortable before we let other audience members into the show. We are only allowed four wheelchair users on the premises at any one time. The auditorium has a shallow seating bank, so nowhere is very far from the stage. However, we will always give priority to anyone who needs to sit near the front to see or hear better. Please let Box Office know if you have any particular requirements and they will introduce you to the Duty Manager, who will be pleased to assist you. For classes/rehearsals/auditions: Our three rehearsal rooms are all upstairs and are currently only accessible via a large spiral staircase.
