The Derry Walls are exciting to explore, with some fantastic views across Derry/Londonderry and plenty of history along the way. Access varies around the walls, with some sections and entrances being easier to navigate than others. There are steep slopes, uneven surfaces and steps in places, so it is worth planning your route if you are a wheelchair user. The accessible sections still give you a good chance to take in the views and get a feel for the history of the walls. I enjoyed my ramble along the parts of the wall I could access but this is a particularly challenging route when using a manual chair.

General access isn't spectacular. I expected this given the age of the structure, and there is little signage. There are points along the wall with information boards explaining the history of the walls. There are no seats or benches.

I travelled to this place by walk or wheel
There is a parking around the city. I used Magazine Gate, where there were some on-street spaces but I didn't see any accessible bays.
Accessible Toilets
There are no accessible toilets on the wall, the closest I saw were at the Forum Theatre and The Tower Museum.
