Excellent
We've stayed all over in Brighton and the Grand was by far the best experience ever. When we arrived I was a little miffed as to enter the building you have to use a platform lift and enter by a different entrance, but after that it's five star all the way. Also the staff were amazing and despite needing their help to come and go, they made it an extra element of fun rather than a chore. The room was amazing. It didn't have a sea view or anything and was the cheapest accessible room available, but it still felt like you were living the high life. Huge bed, lots of room to get around and the bathroom? Wowzers, really well appointed and a double wheel in shower, one with a shower seat. So great for a romantic get away too (ooer missus). Fantastic service made our stay amazing. Highlight was as we were leaving the concierge who helped us out took us around the rooms being set up for Xmas parties, singing the theme to Home Alone. Just fantastic. Yes, it's expensive but not that much more than anywhere else in Brighton and it was worth every penny and more. From now on, this is our go to destination when visiting one of our favourites places.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Once inside the Grand is really wheelchair accessible. It has an external platform lift to gain entry and exit, at the doors next to the main entrance, which is a shame, and the lift does breakdown sadly, but the door staff are so amazing you don't feel anything other welcome when you ask for their help getting in and out. The lifts are big, with one going to one level of each floor and the other going to the sea view level. Some corridors are a little narrow but definitely wide enough for a wheelchair, and some doors open onto you but I found it very easy, both with my Batec attached and not.

I travelled to this place by train
We discovered the huge underground car park when the external platform lift broke down (as they usually do) and was very impressed. Contact the hotel to book or ask at the drop off point when you arrive.

Good
The public toilets were OK, but felt like an after thought. Luckily the rooms toilet was so good it didn't matter too much. The public accessible looks were just big cubicles in the gendered loos.

Excellent
If I'm honest the staff were the best thing about the Grand/. I've never been to a hotel where I felt more welcome. Everyone I met was amazing and the service was stunning. Made the stay even more special.
