Opened in 1988, The Hawth offers one of the liveliest and most diverse programmes of arts and performance in the south east. The Hawth plays host to artists, musicians, dancers and performers from around the world, from household names and West End shows to artists presenting new performance, theatre, music, dance, comedy and film.

Disabled Access at The Hawth

The Hawth car park, situated immediately outside the venue has assigned disabled parking, as well as free parking for cars and coaches. There is level access into the theatre and adapted toilet facilities on two floors. We have a reserved area capable of accommodating five wheelchair users and their companions in the theatre and five spaces in the studio. The Hawth has a lift to all floors. The theatre offers BSL interpreted, audio-described, captioned and relaxed performances.

Wheelchaair accessible and a Changing Places toilet on the ground floor with level access. First floor toilet (accessible via lift) suitable for non-powered wheelchairs.

Changing Places toilet

There is a Changing Places toilet, which includes an adult-size changing bench, toilet, sink and hoist.

Accessible toilet

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
