    Standard 'Spoons

Wheelchair access is via a platform lift at the rear of the building. Once inside, it's bog-standard Wetherspoons fare... cheap, cheerful and a little bit sticky. There's plenty room for manoeuvring a manual wheelchair and most tables have movable seating, although there are a few booths. Our drinks (lagers and a juice) were fine. To eat, we had a pizza (very good), the boneless chicken basket (excellent) and lasagne (a disappointingly tiny, microwaved, portion). It's well-known that Wetherspoons across the board have cut back on their food options... it was particularly noticed that all grill options (eg steak, gammon) were missing from the menu. All staff were cheerful enough and the local customers were friendly and helpful with moving bags and chairs to allow passage for me and my wheelchair.

    Could do with a ramp

The Paddle Steamer is right by the sea in Largs. The pub has great views, a nautical theme, and a lovely indoor fireplace. The entrances aren't great, Costa Coffee and Co-op which are both situated within the same building both have ramp access yet the Wetherspoon has two entrances with steps and a third entrance via a platform lift. The tables were quite close together but we people were happy to move and we found a space big enough for our group. There is a friendly atmosphere in the pub and we enjoyed the trip.
