Poor old lovely Thekla, it is a boat, on three levels, so not the easiest venue for the mobility impaired. There are rather a lot of stairs. See disabled access details below. They do give free carer passes though, if you call them in advance. The staff are generally friendly and helpful.

I am giving them a star because they do give carer passes… otherwise a bit of a fail (not their fault tho!). Step up onto the gangplank, fairly substantial flight of stairs either up to the top deck (bar and occasional bands) or down to the middle level, which has a balcony from which you can watch the bands in the main area (actually this is the best view in the venue). Toilets on the same floor but a tricky set of double doors and step to get in to the gents. No disabled loos. Main stage and main bar is down another big flight of steps , no loos on that level.

There's a public car park with disabled spaces right next to the boat. Unfortunately the quayside level is one step up and a couple of steps down from the car park, immediately outside the venue, although you can make it just one kerb-sized step down if you head right to the quayside a little further along - you may need to have a scout around.

Good
Bouncers generally really nice and helpful (always offer help with lugging wheelchair up/down the stairs, stop the crowd to give us time to get out, etc). Door staff a bit clueless but fine.

Sorry but I don't have anything to add regarding disabilities other than mobility impairment as I have no experience of this.
