The Magdalen Arms

If I eat out, I like to eat food that has been cooked from scratch on the premises and which leans towards what is in season. This unassuming pub south of Oxford city centre is one I've been to a few times now. There is disabled parking...on the double yellow lines on the side street. There are steps to the front door but flattish access at the rear of the building where the rest rooms are, and opposite where you would park. A lift takes you up to the bar and dining area. Sometimes it's locked but staff are very friendly and helpful. If you book online you can mention the wheels, and hopefully they will have unlocked the lift. The disabled loo comfortably fits my smaller wheelchair and I think it would be possible to do a left sided transfer. The food is great and the menu changes often. The only downside is it gets very noisy when it's busy.
