The Old Stables

The VE 5* Gold AccessAble Old Stables was built in '22/23 with inclusivity in mind, welcoming our first guests in Summer 2023. We aim to provide a special place away from home where a memorable and comfortable stay can be had. With over 20 years’ experience in self-catering, we aim for the best we can, a well-designed, bright, spacious and inclusive haven.

Nordham Cottages, are finalists year on year in both the accessible category and the self-catering category.

The underfloor heated, flat floor Old Stables accommodates up to 4 people in 2 ensuite bedrooms, with a room either end of the property, providing privacy. Beds can be made up as twin or put together as super king. The accessible bedroom has an adjoining top of the range wet room, and the smaller bedroom has a bathroom, with shower over bath next to it.

Red cord alarms from the accessible room and wet room, sound in the smaller bedroom, giving peace of mind to accompanying family/carer. In the accessible bedroom, French windows lead outside to two chairs for sunny afternoons. The smaller bedroom has access to the garden via the hallway's stable door.

The Accessible kitchen is a pleasing, light space to just 'be', enjoying the view out to the courtyard garden with trees beyond. The kitchen chairs have arms and a bit of spring, making them super comfortable. The well equipped, modern, airy kitchen was designed for ease, for everyone to use.

Rise and recline chairs in the spacious sitting room provide ultimate relaxation and there's a large sofa to lie out on, the perfect space for lounging! With smart TV, books, games, wall art quiz, there's hours of fun to be had on site.
