Excellent
I first visited Ting Thai Caravan two summers ago and absolutely loved it! It was truly an eye-opening experience for my tastebuds, and since then, it’s become a real favourite. I order the same dish and drink every time because they’re just that good. There’s almost always a wait, but it’s never too long, and it always feels worth it. The atmosphere, food, and experience are consistently excellent. The one in Teviot Place is very loud which is why Lothian Road is my go-to for Ting Thai.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
Access is generally good. The entrance is level, which made getting in easy. Inside, it can get quite busy and loud, especially during peak times, but the tables aren’t packed too tightly together, which helps. There’s a main dining area that’s accessible without needing to use stairs. The entrance/exit is a bit tight as there's a wall right in front.
Parking & Transport
0There are good transport links nearby, as the restaurant is close to several music and performance venues. It’s an easy location to get to by public transport. I’m not sure about the parking options, so it might be worth checking in advance if you're driving.
Accessible Toilets
Excellent
There is a spacious and clean accessible toilet available, which I really appreciate. It's tucked in a corner, well-lit, and uncluttered both inside and outside. There’s enough space to manoeuvre, and everything was tidy during my visit.
Staff
Good
Staff were good overall. I didn’t have a huge amount of interaction with them beyond ordering and being seated, but they were upfront about the wait times and managed the busy flow of customers well, which helped make the experience smoother.
