The Tyneside Cinema is the North East of England’s only full-time independent first-run specialised cinema. Situated in Newcastle upon Tyne it holds a unique place in the history of moving image in the UK as the last surviving Newsreel cinema operating as a cinema and today it is also a free screen heritage attraction engaging the public with the heritage of Newsreels 363 days a year.
