This week, I unexpectedly found myself on crutches, which made me a bit anxious about being able to fully enjoy the event that I'd been looking forward to since December. Unfortunately, I realized too late that I needed to be on the accessibility guest list, and I missed the opportunity to sign up. I was informed beforehand that I could request a chair so I wouldn't have to stand in the queue, and when I arrived, I spoke to a member of the security team. They were extremely kind and promptly brought me a chair, making my wait much more comfortable. A bit before the doors opened, a gentleman named John came out to assist those in the disability area. Although I wasn't on the official list, John could see that I needed some support and allowed me to enter the venue with those on the list. This enabled me to secure an aisle seat, which meant I didn't have to worry about getting past people and had enough space for my crutches. John continued to be thoughtful and considerate throughout the evening—he brought me a cushion and even offered to help me get a drink from the bar. His kindness made a significant difference to my overall experience, and I truly appreciated the extra support. I was a little concerned about attending after not being able to be added to the accessibility guest list but the staff at the venue went above and beyond to ensure my needs were catered for. The union Chapel stunningly beautiful venue with amazing staff. I highly recommend it.
