Being the companion to someone who has mobility issues due to a spinal injury attending live music events can be challenging. Prior to attending, the venue is contacted and a request is made for early entrance and when necessary, seating. When arriving the instructions are followed, usually to go to the front of the queue and let security know then wait. Once entry is granted often there is either no further assistance or, assistance that is so over the top, getting to a seat becomes embarrassing. This week we went to the Union Chapel to see Albert Lee. It was a fantastic gig made all the better by the wonderful venue and the staff. Access was easy and we were escorted to our seats by a member of staff without any fuss. We would like to thank the management and staff for their professionalism, friendliness, efficiency and hard work. They are an example of excellent customer service.
