University of Strathclyde

The University of Strathclyde is a friendly place to study. However, there are some notable challenges regarding accessibility and campus navigation. The university's facilities are spread across multiple locations, several of which are situated on hilly terrain. This would be particularly challenging for someone with a physical limitation who may struggle to walk on those hills. Additionally, the process of connecting to the university's network has been identified as unnecessarily complex. Overall, the University of Strathclyde has many positive qualities, but addressing these accessibility and connectivity concerns would significantly enhance the experience for all members of its student community.

I have been studying at The University of Strathclyde since August 2022 and I have never felt so well cared for. As a wheelchair user, getting around is always a problem and in a city like Glasgow with all it's hills, even more so. The School of Education staff and the Disability and Wellbeing Team have worked really hard to make my year a successful one.
