Overview

I went in December to try on wedding/bridesmaid dresses with a friend and I could not be happier. We parked behind the store in a disabled space and I wheeled through to the front of the store where immediately the staff informed that at any time, we customers can call in advance and will be welcomed through the rear door if it helps in any way. The store is spacious enough for any sized wheelchair or indeed mobility scooter to peruse without fear of crashing into any displays. ALL dressing rooms are large enough to accommodate a wheelchair/mobility scooter so there is no worry about which one to use, the staff are all happy to help in any way with dressing/undressing if required and there is no awkwardness. We chose this place because of a previous disabled friendly review of their Ipswich store so it appears this is a common theme for all of their stores. Therefore I think it's good for disabled people to think of this place if looking for wedding attire.

Transport & Parking

I drove and parked in the carpark behind which has 4 disabled spaces. 3 of which were free on the day, 1 in use by a blue badge holder. There are buses that pass this area very frequently as it is on a main route into Chelmsford (Army & Navy Roundabout)

Access

No step entrance front or rear. Double doorway entrance, staff on hand at front of store to open other door should it be needed. EVerything on ground floor. There is seating all around the store. While I didn't see any braille, I know the staff would happily help in any way.

Staff

The staff were lovely, we were assisted by the store manager I believe and 2 apprentices. I think working with us was a great experience for apprentices. One member of staff has a disabled close family member and was well versed in how to deal, what questions to ask and how to be respectful.
