Beautiful Accessible Gardens with delightful cafe

These gardens are a hidden gem with lots of wide smooth paths to access most of the garden, 6 blue badge parking spaces, an excellent restaurant/cafe and helpful staff. You cannot access the green houses but in a wheelchair you need to make compromises and I could see inside through the end windows. I loved the vegetable area and the meandering paths. Good sized Disabled toilet and room for my large power chair.

Pretty good for manual wheelchair access but with a few drawbacks

Visited with my wife in her wheelchair. Most paths were good, though the walled garden was more difficult and the greenhouses not wheelchair accessible. We stuck to the main garden area, not going to the more park like areas, but came upon some unexpected steps (fortunately my wife has some mobility and was able to cope with the steps with my help - no rails to help.) As another reviews has said the entrance/shop/restaurant is cramped and depends on others' cooperation to negotiate. Restaurant has lots of outside space and tables if the weather is fine. But the recommendation for lunch is to get there as early as possible (service starts at 11:45).

Beautiful gardens with good access in most areas

The main gardens have good access. The first impression wasn't good as the entrance via the gift shop is extremely tight for a wheelchair. However once through its good. We attempted the woodland areas which were difficult in some areas and in fact we ultimately had to turn back. Overall though it was a good visit.
