Overview

The cafe itself is pretty good; they have a buffet with a range of hot food, as well as hot and cold drinks and a selection of cakes. Staff are always very friendly and happy to help. We used the space to hold a meeting with a number of disabled people with different needs, and found it a fantastic place to use, with large spaces, the option for food and drink, and free Wi-Fi! There is also disabled parking (for free) and it is very close to the city centre, with good transport links.

Transport & Parking

Right in the city centre, just opposite the bus station so very good public transport connections. They also have a large car park, with about 15 disabled parking spaces that is free if you display a blue badge.

Access

Good signs to show you where everything is, and step free access into the building. Automatic doors to enter the building, and a lift to go between floors.

Toilets

Changing place included in the accessible toilet, that needs a radar key to get in. Large and well equipped; very happy with this toilet.

Staff

Staff appear to be well trained in supporting people with diverse needs, as the West Yorkshire Playhouse also runs showings for people with dementia and different access needs. Very friendly and happy to help.

Anything else you wish to tell us?

Would most certainly recommend the WYP Cafe if you need somewhere to meet people, as it is accessible and free. The food is good and we will continue going back, especially when having meetings because it's a perfect location.
