Weston Park

This is a really beautiful park with lots of green space, some interesting statues and structures, and a large pond. The entrances I saw were all step-free, with most of the paths being smooth concrete. It’s worth noting that the park itself is set on a large hill. As a result, some of the paths have a steep incline. The entrance I used had quite a severe incline up to the edge of the pond and I found it quite difficult to push myself up the hill in my manual wheelchair. Once you get to the pond, it seems like the park levels out more. It’s a really beautiful park which also has tennis courts, a café and in the southwest corner, the Weston Park museum. I definitely recommend a visit to this park, just make sure you have some extra power to manage the hills, whether that’s in the form of battery power or friends and family pushing power!
