The Academy was developed with access for all in mind. It was previously the training base for the British Sailing Team Paralympic squad the same facilities are open to all disabled sailors.

Disabled Access at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy

There is level access from the car park to the entrance of the building, which has automatic doors. There are two lifts, one in the main lobby and one in the Event Hall.

There are six spaces in the car park dedicated to blue badge holders.

On-site accessible parking bays are available within 50 metres of the entrance.

Toilets features at Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy

There are several accessible toilets at WPNSA. They all have grab rails and easy turn taps and locks. All the disabled toilets and changing rooms have red cords.

A designated accessible toilet designed for wheelchair users and others with visible and non-visible accessibility requirements is available within the main public areas.
