Venue Description

WHALE Arts is the cultural anchor organisation for Wester Hailes. We are a community-led arts charity and social enterprise, set up by local people in 1992. Our mission is to be the creative heart of a vibrant, thriving community. The home of Westburn CAN, WHALE Community Cinema and Tasting Change Wester Hailes, we offer workshops, regular groups and events with a range of cultural partners across the city, and run a programme of creative workshops in drama, textiles, arts and crafts for all ages. Creative Adventures Thursdays, 4-5.30pm 25 Jan-29 March (mid term break 15 Feb) Families FREE Multi–arts project for primary-aged young people with Additional Support Needs and their families. Featuring dance, music, art, drama and more! Please get in touch for more information. smART CRAFT Mondays, 1-3pm 15 Jan-26 March £2 per session A weekly visual arts and crafts group for adults with complex or additional support needs. The group explores creativity and expression with varied art materials, and is run by a professional artist and support worker. *Please call or email to register for this group.
