Wye Knot is an independent gift and homeware shop at 27 High Street in Builth Wells. We offer carefully selected Welsh gifts, greeting cards, candles, home fragrance, confectionery, soft toys, homeware and distinctive decorative pieces.

The shop entrance has a raised threshold approximately 9 cm high, so access is not completely step-free. The doorway is approximately 83 cm wide and opens inwards. Inside, the narrowest aisle is approximately 117 cm wide, with a larger manoeuvring area beside the counter. Two seats are available, assistance dogs are welcome and staff are happy to help.

Disabled Access at Wye Knot

The shop is on one level internally, but the entrance is not step-free. There is one raised threshold approximately 9 cm high. The doorway is approximately 83 cm wide, opens inwards and is light to operate. Staff are happy to open and hold the door or assist at the entrance. The narrowest main aisle is approximately 117 cm wide. There is an open manoeuvring area beside the counter measuring approximately 185 cm × 270 cm. Two customer seats are available. Movement may be more difficult when the shop is particularly busy.

The venue is all on one level, with no steps or raised thresholds.

Staff are happy to open and hold the entrance door, retrieve products from shelves, bring items to the counter or entrance and assist customers during their visit. Two seats are available for customers who need to rest. Assistance dogs are very welcome.
