Good
The students union is situated within York St John University. It is easily assessable, with wide automatic doors with a button to press to open them, these doors lead into the students union foyer. When in the students union it is all one level with no steps.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
As stated above, the entrance to the students union has disabled access buttons to press in order for the doors to open automatically. The students union is all on one level, however, to get to the offices upstairs there is no disabled access, there are stairs. The bar area is very spacious and furniture can easily be moved.
Parking & Transport
Average
There is no parking directly outside the students union, however there is disabled parking on the University site which is around a 5 minute walk. Although this is very limited and may take longer depending on the individual.
Accessible Toilets
Good
There is one disabled toilet situated in the students union which has a lot of space.
Staff
Good
The staff were very friendly and happy to help.
