Our Community Manager, Joe Logue, has been honored by Muscular Dystrophy UK at their Stronger Together Awards, taking home the title of Community Support Champion.

The award celebrates individuals who have made an exceptional contribution by providing emotional or practical support to the community. Stronger Together Awards

The Stronger Together Awards are all about the power of lived experience, something that we understand here at Euan’s Guide where our community’s experiences generate all-important disabled access information. The awards recognize people who go above and beyond to support others, whether that’s through fundraising, volunteering, or, in Joe’s case, providing vital community support and advocacy.

By highlighting the efforts of individuals and groups across the UK, the awards show just how much can be achieved when we share our knowledge and look out for one another. It’s a wonderful initiative that aligns perfectly with what we try to do here at Euan's Guide which is turning personal experiences into a helpful resource for everyone.

A voice for the community

Joe lives with Becker muscular dystrophy and has spent years channeling his lived experience into everything he does. Whether he’s writing on his own blog and poetry, or traveling across the country as our Community Manager, Joe’s mission is always the same to make the world a more accessible and welcoming place.

At Euan’s Guide, Joe is an integral part of the team. He spends his time reviewing accessibility at key transport hubs and popular destinations, ensuring that our community has the honest, "on-the-ground" information they need to explore with confidence.

This award is a fantastic recognition of the amazing work Joe does to support others living with neuromuscular conditions and his efforts in pushing for better accessibility for everyone. We’re really proud to have Joe’s passion, expertise, and humor as part of the Euan’s Guide team.
