Places to Visit

If you enjoy sports we have a great review from DerekinstAndrews who visited McDairmid Park in Perth to watch Scottish Cup football with his family and friends. They enjoyed hospitality before the match. Read more about his five star experience.

Another fantastic Sport themed review is of Sport Scotland National Centre Inverclyde by new reviewer Charlie Wright Thank you very much Charlie for your first review you shared some really valuable access information for anyone wanting to come and stay the night in the centre. Charlie particularly noticed and commented on the accessibility of the accommodation and the room.  Read more about it in his review.

Euan’s Guide Community Manager Joe also known as DystrophyDad has also recently visited Lost Shore the centre just outside of Edinburgh where you Can try accessible surfing! Joe gave his visit five stars. He also mentions the well thought out accessible parking and how the venue try to include everyone. ‘Working in partnership with Inclusive Surfing Scotland, Lost Shore are keen to show that surfing is for anyone’

lol0987 did a fantastic first review of the Gordon Russel Design Museum in Broadway. 'All the displays were easy to see at all levels and there was plenty of room for wheelchair access.’ This sounds like a great day out. Thank you for your brilliant first review Lol0987!

WheelyP sent us a review of the Theatre Royal in Winchester. The event marked fifty years of the band Fender. ‘My first visit to this small but fantastic theatre in a beautiful period building at the top of Winchester on Jewry Street’

Places to Eat

Skybluehanuel highly recommends The Imperial Palace in Edinburgh as a good place to go for something to eat and to celebrate any occasion with family and friends. The restaurant received the rating of four stars in the review. ‘Would definitely recommend it for great food and an accessible, welcoming dining experience!’ The review highlights the layout of the restaurant and also the helpful attitude of the staff. What a great way to enjoy and layout with Family and friends.

Fishworm also shared a great review of the Great Baddow Barn. This restaurant is part of the Hungry Horse franchise in Chelmsford. The venue’s spacious layout is mentioned in the review. The other element is that the toilet could do with being refurbished as is shown on the review. This is a great way to feedback any recommendations or suggestions to a venue so that you know if you're coming to be taken on board and possibly changed.

Places to Stay

ShirleyMcHoot wrote a fantastic review of the Loch Fyne Hotel and Spa. She had a great break away with her husband and highlights in her review the positive elements of the accessibility in her hotel room. ‘The bedroom is well set up with plenty of room to manoeuvre a wheelchair.’ The review also has some great photographs to show the layout of the bedroom and the bathroom for anyone visiting for the first time.

Review of the Month

This month the review of the month is Theatre Royal in Winchester. WheelyP shared his experience of celebrating 50 years of one of his favourite bands. This review shows how enjoyable live music can be when accessibility is taken into account.
