Things to see and do
Cuilean73 visited their local cinema Highland cinema in Fort William. They had a very positive and accessible experience after feeling quite apprehensive about accessibility. They particularly recommend trying the café within the cinema building where you can have a meal before or after a film. Thank you Cuilean73 for your review and we look forward to hearing more about your experiences.
Nick85visited The Beacon Museum in Whitehaven in Cumbria. They had a very positive experience visiting the museum, and gave their visit a five star rating, telling us that the museum is well laid out and easy to move around, and the staff are always friendly and very willing to help. A lovely place to visit if you’re in the area. Thank you for your review Nicky85!
Purplegirl went to visit York’s chocolate story with their support worker and had a very positive and enjoyable experience. Carers get in for free and there are lots of chocolate samples to try and the venue does cater for a variety of different dietary requirements. Purplegirl gave their experience an amazing five stars and highly recommends a visit. Thank you very much purplegirl for your review, and we look forward to reading more soon!
For anyone who enjoys a summer music festival. WheelyP highly recommends the BST festival in Hyde Park in association with American Express. He speaks very highly of the accessibility at the festival which includes free, accessible parking spaces with a blue badge, and an accessible shuttlebus to take you to the accessible entrance. The festival sounds like a great experience for all the family. Check out WheelyP’s review to find out more.
Changing Places Toilet Awareness day July 2025
To mark Changing Places Awareness Day this month our Review Coordinator MollyC has been out and about reviewing some of her local Changing Places toilets. MollyC has reviewed a changing places toilet which is located in the Exchange Shopping Centre in Ilford. There's plenty of parking within the shopping centre car park. Within her review Molly highlights some of the accessible features within the toilet, and this includes height adjustable toilet and sink. Molly has also included some great photographs of the layout of the toilet itself. Thank you so much for your review MollyC - we are excited to hear about more Changing Places toilets around the UK if anyone has any that they would like to review for Euan’s Guide’s community
Accessible accommodation
CharlieChalk visited Trevassack accessible holidays with her family and had a very positive experience aside from a few accessibility glitches, which will hopefully be fixed, regarding the mobile hoist, ready for their next stay. Her experience got 4.5 stars as an overall positive experience of an accessible holiday accommodation, including a hot tub which was accessible so she could join everyone else in enjoying some relaxation. Thank you very much for your review CharlieChalk and we look forward to reading your reviews again soon!

This month’s review comes from Cuilean73 who visited the local Highland Cinema in Fort William for the first time since becoming disabled. Thank you very much for your reviews - please keep in touch and we hope you’ll share g more about the places that you go in the future.
