Overview

I visited Banh Mi and Tea for the first time. The restaurant was accessible, and although I unfortunately had a stomach bug the night before and ended up choosing something more neutral from the menu (rather than the banh mi I had been looking forward to!), the food I did have was tasty and enjoyable. We were seated right next to the entrance, which made it quite chilly as people came and went, so I would recommend asking for a table further inside if you are sensitive to temperature.

Transport & Parking

I took the bus to get there. The journey was straightforward, although I got a little confused about where to get off - that’s on me, not the venue! The restaurant is easily accessible via public transport, and the stop is quite close by.

Access

3.5

Access into the venue was good and level; I could get in easily with my powerchair. Inside, the space wasn’t overly crowded and it wasn’t too loud, which made it a more relaxed experience. However, because we were seated right in front of the door, it did get cold every time someone came in or out, which might be something to bear in mind. There was no obvious signage about accessibility features inside, but I didn’t encounter any barriers in the dining space itself.

Toilets

0

I didn’t use the toilets during my visit. From what I could see, the toilets appeared to be through a narrow corridor and there were no signs indicating the presence of an accessible toilet. It’s possible there wasn’t one, so I would recommend checking ahead if this is something you need.

Staff

4

The staff were friendly and polite. We didn’t have much interaction beyond ordering, but they were welcoming. One small thing: I would have appreciated if someone had explained how to eat the dish I ordered, as it was a little tricky to figure out and could have made the experience even smoother.
