We have a range of beach wheelchairs suitable for both children and adults. We are also now delighted to have a fantastic all terrain power wheelchair that can be used either by our customer or via attendant controls after a short driving test with our trained volunteers. We have a hoist if needed to assist with transfers. Customers must bring their own loop style sling. Bookings should be made in advance by calling: 0300 111 2112. Since starting we've helped over 1000 people to get back on the beach with family and friends :)

Fun Friends and and an accessible beach

I visited North Berwick beach wheelchairs hub with some Euan’s Guide Ambassadors. We spent the day exploring the beach with beach wheelchairs. We also got a guided tour of the beach and sealife and birds through the sea bird centre

An amazing day, first time on a beach in a decade

The staff are super friendly and really make the experience so positive. There is a hoist available, you do need to bring your own sling. I was overjoyed to learn that they have a powerchair beach wheelchair as well as manual chairs that can be pushed. They glide over the sand, it truly is an incredible experience! My wife and I enjoyed a roll along the beautiful beach, there is so much to look at and explore. The manual chairs can go in the water if you wish to dip your toes in the sea. I would highly recommend Beach Wheelchairs and I am so thankful for what they have enabled us to experience.

Disabled Access at Beach Wheelchairs

Collect the beach wheelchair and then it's easy to get onto the beach. We now have a hoist. Head for the harbour and as you reach the quayside turn right and you will see our little blue and white beach hut.

Accessible parking at Beach Wheelchairs

We have agreement with the Harbour Trust to park alongside our Beach Hut and there are also 2 blue badge holder parking spaces on Victoria Street and a parking bay beside the beach.
