I’d been scouring the length and breadth of Angus all day long, exposed to the elements, and was happy to finally be back in my hotel. I was even happier that there was a restaurant attached. This Beefeater, which is open to both the public and hotel guests, was an ideal spot with reasonably priced food. The staff took my order at my table, which I appreciate as a wheelchair user. As far as budget friendly food goes, it hit the spot.
Disabled Access In and Around
Good
The venue has automatic doors at the entrance. It is quite spacious throughout with various seating options, from soft-backed chairs to booths and benches. Some areas are carpeted, which can be a bit tricky with a manual wheelchair, but it is generally easy to navigate. My food and drink order was taken at my table, making it a comfortable experience. There is not much in the way of signage and no alternative formats are in use.

There is a large car park at the entrance with several accessible parking spaces. If these are taken, there are additional spaces at the hotel. I spotted an EV charger, although I didn’t use it. The restaurant is a short distance from Dundee Railway Station, which has a Changing Places toilet. The closest bus stop I could find is at the railway station.
