The terminal building is easy to move around in a wheelchair - big lift, flat floors, well designed. Toilets are really good - huge well equipped specialist toilet entered with a radar key. In the main ladies' toilet there are several wide cubicles with doors which swing outwards - grab rails on either side of the cubicle. It's really nice just to nip to the loo with everyone else rather than being marked out as special. My only complaint is that the lower wash basin is blocked by a bin - when you use the "normal" height basin from a wheelchair all the water runs down your arms into your jumper! There is also an accessible toilet in the car park before you go through security. Clean and well designed though it looked as if it isn't much used.

This was a great experience apart from the very officious, 'jobsworth' and negative check-in woman at Portsmouth. The woman also told us that we had to book a space next to the lift on-board in advance, however, we've never had to do this before and I can't see any info regarding this on their website. The passport control officer at Portsmouth on the return journey was the loveliest, happiest one we've ever had, so maybe there were complaints about the first one.... All other staff were very, very helpful and went out of their way to help. We had a lovely journey both ways.
